History of the run.
Originally to celebrate the 50 year aniversay of the Hawick & Border Motorcycle club, and to celebrate the clubs most famous member. The first run was from Kelso to Hawick via Earlston, Galashiels and Selkirk and this continued for the next 4 or 5 years. The run was then based at Lilliards Edge caravan park until we moved to Denholm Green in the early 80's. The run is approximately 40-50 miles and the route varies from year to year. We always make a detour to Wilton Lodge Park in Hawick to visit the exibition in the museum and to visit the Guthrie statue.
